This is the first newsletter from the Keene Youth Commission. We’ve accomplished a lot over the last year despite the challenges of COVID and wanted to reflect on our activities as well as provide updates on upcoming events. Keene Youth Commission Newsletter, March 2022 (pdf)
On behalf of the Keene Age-Friendly Task Force (AFTF), thank you to all who responded to the AFTF survey that was posted on NDK, the Town Facebook page, and the Town website. We received more than 120 responses from both year-round and seasonal residents. Attached is a summary of the responses; it and the complete data have been shared with the Town Board. Age-Friendly Survey Results Highlights (pdf) The AFTF hopes to hold public feedback sessions when COVID allows to more fully develop recommendations on how Keene can enhance its age-friendliness.
A new phone system was installed at the Town Hall yesterday. When you call the office, (518) 576-4444, you will now be prompted to a "phone tree". Please listen to the options and choose the appropriate number from the list. We have not received our official training yet so please be patient with us during this transition. We do not have individualized voicemails at this time. If you call after hours (after 3:30 p.m.), you will be automatically transferred to the general mailbox to leave a voicemail. The Town Clerk's Office will be CLOSED beginning Thursday, March 17th, and will resume regular hours on Thursday, March 24th. I will be out of town but will be monitoring my emails. (Hoping to get some sunshine in South Carolina!) My email is townclerk@townofkeeneny.gov. If there is anything emergent that you need while I am away, my Deputy, Ellen Estes, will be available.
